Your Cambridge English exam result/certificate does not have an expiry date*. It shows that on a particular date you demonstrated language skills at a specified level, however, language skills are known to diminish over time if not used and maintained.

Examinations must be taken in the morning or afternoon timetable session as shown on the final timetable. All candidates entered for examinations in a session must be under Full Centre Supervision at the Key Time.

The test has three sections: Reading & Writing – 60 minutes, 30 reading questions and two writing parts.
Introducing the Cambridge English Scale In the live exams, each of the skills and Use of English are equally weighted, and a candidate’s overall score is calculated by adding all of the individual scores together and dividing by five (and then rounding to the nearest whole number).
Level A2 corresponds to basic users of the language, i.e. those able to communciate in everyday situations with commonly-used expressions and elementary vocabulary.
English level B1 is the third level of English in the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), a definition of different language levels written by the Council of Europe. In everyday speech, this level would be called “intermediate”, and indeed, that is the official level descriptor in the CEFR.
An A2 level of English is sufficient for tourism in an English-speaking country and socializing with English speakers, although to develop deeper friendships an A2 level is not adequate.

The world’s leading test of English language proficiency, IELTS is not difficult in itself. In less than 3 hours, it assesses your abilities in listening, reading, writing and speaking.
The Listening, Reading and Writing sections of all IELTS tests are completed on the same day, with no breaks in between them. The Speaking section, however, can be completed up to a week before or after the other tests. The total test time is 2 hours and 45 minutes.
